THE TREASURY COCKTAIL
To mark the occasion of 170 years since the construction of The Treasury Building, Cortile Bar Manager, Max Babajev, crafted a signature cocktail that embodied rich history, refined beauty and prestige like the building itself. With this vision in mind, Max was drawn to The Martinez, the forefather of the modern day Martini. Akin to the transformation of The Treasury Building into to its current revival as InterContinental Sydney, the cocktail blends elements of the past with contemporary styles. The addition of a hand-chiselled ice cube dressed with 24 carat gold begins a transformation into an experimental style. The finishing touch is a side dish of sweet golden dusted ‘caviar’, elevating this cocktail to luxurious new heights.
