Mercedes – Ben Fashion Week Australia
Australia’s hottest fashion labels unite for the nation’s premier fashion event, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA), kicking off on Sunday May 13th with darlings of the Australian fashion world, Camilla and Marc.
This is the second year MBFWA will showcase resort collections and it won’t only promote established Australian designers but provide a platform for emerging talent to launch their collections, positioning Sydney as a fashion capital on the global circuit.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Adapted from one of the country’s most lauded and iconic films, Stephan Elliot's 1994 Priscilla Queen of the Desert hits the big stage once again.
This musical premiered in Sydney in 2006 and has since travelled the globe picking up a Tony and an Olivier awards. Priscilla returns to her homeland with theatre legend Tony Sheldon, who picked up both a Tony and Olivier nomination for his performance as Bernadette in the original stage play. He'll be joined on Australia's most beloved bus by new cast members David Harris and Euan Doidge (who is stepping back into drag after playing an Angel in Kinky Boots).

The Archibald Prize
See the face that stops a nation, when Australia's most prestigious art prize, The Archibald Prize, returns to the Art Gallery of NSW, unveiled to the public on Saturday May 12th.
Inciting contentious discussion and many a public opinion, the Archibald Prize is the exhibition that gets everyone talking. From discussing who and what is most deserving of the $100,000 top gong –the annual exhibition of 40 finalists offers plenty to argue over, featuring faces familiar and not, by big name, mid-career and emerging painters.

Fittingly moderated by Australia's first (and only) female prime minister Julia Gillard, Hilary will speak at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour and discuss the obstacles women in politics face and how she managed to pick herself up after the biggest defeat of her life - and what happens next.
