November is a great month for the city of Sydney. With its warm spring weather perfect for outdoor adventuring, abundance of activities and major events and festivals, Sydney comes alive for travellers and locals alike.
One favourite annual event that’s always bound to get revellers in stiches is the AAMI Just For Laughs Sydney comedy festival, which returns this month from November 19-25 to celebrate its 8th year on the festival circuit.
Always boasting a stellar festival line-up, this year is no exception. Welcoming international and local acts to the stage, the bill includes cult comedians Bill Bailey, Ken Jeong, Iliza Shlesinger and Reggie Watts. Plus, for fans of hit US improvisation show Whose Line is it Anyway?’s stars Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood and Greg Proops will be hitting the stage.
Also bringing their comedic genius to the forefront is Fortune Feimster, Ryan Hamilton, Becky Lucas, Kenny Sebastian and Mo Gilligan. Our very own Australian talent Dave Hughes will be hosting a star-studded All-Star Gala for fans, plus JFL Australia Live will return for its 6th season hosted by Tommy Little.
Just For Laughs Sydney runs for the entire week and will be held at various venues around the city, including the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall, Enmore Theatre and Factory Theatre.
In previous festivals, JFL Sydney has attracted a top lineup of comedians including Russell Brand, John Cleese, Eddie Izzard and Drew Carey. So you know you are going to be in for a good laugh
