Get Interactive with Four Thousand Fish at Barangaroo Reserve

Barangaroo Reserve’s large-scale installation serves to commemorate the 1790 event in which British colonists hauled in an excessive four thousand fish in one day, disrupting the delicate ecosystem in Sydney Harbour. To demonstrate the magnitude of this event, you can create frozen fish sculptures from the water surrounding Barangaroo Reserve which an artist will later return to its liquid state via a Sunset Ceremony. Profound and deeply moving, this is a great way to honour Australia’s world-renowned Harbour this weekend.

Insider Tip: If you choose to visit this exhibit on Friday 26th, Barangaroo Reserve is holding a family-friendly Australia Day festival, This is Australia, with live Australian music and an all-day brunch.
