Most key events surrounding the hotel on New Year’s Eve are ticketed with very limited availability – so you need to decide where to spend midnight on 31 December prior to your arrival. Our concierge team are on hand to ensure you have a glorious celebration on the nights of all nights, and have put together a guide on available celebrations.

Many local Sydney restaurants and venues offer a variety of experiences, many of which are already fully sold at capacity for this evening. Please see the below events which may still have availability, however note that these will sell out prior to the evening.

Aria Restaurant

Chef Matt Moran and Aria Head Chef Jason Staudt have curated an incredible five-course tasting menu for the evening. Enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival and a journey of canapes, with drinks flowing throughout the evening. During the dining experience you will be free to immerse yourself in the firework displays.

Where – 1 Macquarie Street, Sydney (an approximate 30 minute walk on New Year’s Eve)

Cost – $1350 per adult, $650 per child

Quay Restaurant

(main restaurant fully sold however cocktail party still available)

Join the cocktail party of the year in the Green Room at Quay this New Year’s Eve, with uninterrupted views to the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Guests will be treated to cocktails and sparkling wine on arrival followed by canapés and premium wines selected by Head Sommelier Amanda Yallop. Entertainment and dancing throughout the night will ensue with enviable positioning to watch the spectacular fireworks display.

Where – Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay West (an approximate 45 minute walk on New Year’s Eve)

Sydney Opera House

Enjoy an evening full of music and wonder as you ring in the New Year in one of the most iconic venues in the world. Sydney Opera House is the place to be on New Year’s Eve, with the Annual Opera Australia Gala in the Concert Hall, whilst Opera Australia will also celebrate the newly refurbished Joan Sutherland Theatre, with it’s first show since reopening by performing Franz Lehar’s famous The Merry Widow. Intervals are perfectly timed for revellers to also experience the 9pm fireworks, and we would recommend securing the ‘Platinum Package’ to secure casual dining before the performance as well as access to the exclusive Midnight Party for once in a lifetime views of the harbour.

Royal Botanic Gardens – Harbour Hoopla

Please note that whilst Harbour Hoopla is currently still available, all other areas within the gardens are already sold out.

This all-ages vintage circus themed event is a night to be enjoyed with family and friends. In addition to incredible views of the midnight fireworks over the Harbour Bridge, there will be plenty to keep you entertained all evening.

Where – Tarpeian Precinct, Royal Botanic Gardens (an approximate 20 minute walk on New Year’s Eve)

Cost - $325 per person

 

Portside Sydney

Imagine a night beneath the stars, under the sails of the Sydney Opera House. Enjoy the best view in the city of the Harbour Bridge and our world famous fireworks - this is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed!

Where – Sydney Opera House Western Forecourt (an approximate 40 minute walk on New Year’s Eve)

Luna Park

With unlimited rides, bar and dining outlets, an amazing fireworks vantage point, live entertainment in numerous venues, amenities and a variety of tickets to suit your New Year’s Eve dreams... Harbour Party at Luna Park is your ticket to the biggest celebration of the year! This event has a variety different events, which have access to certain areas of Luna Park. Those which have the best views of the Fireworks are The Deck and The Palais.

Where – Luna Park, Milson’s Point (best accessed by ferry or train on New Year’s Eve, allow approximately one hour on New Year’s Eve)
